Movies in other languages
Re: Movies in other languages
There's the 4-hour 1966 epic. Actors playing Andrei and Pierre are both dreamy. It's on YouTube without subtitles, or on Amazon video.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Planning to watch Netflix's "Dark" in the original German with English subtitles. Worth it?

The show is absolutely worth it. I watched the English dub and some of the voice acting was a bit sketchy, so if your brain can handle doing one more thing while it's trying to figure out what's going on, go for it.
Re: Movies in other languages
Absolutely worth it and the only way of watching it! Nothing but the names must be awful in any other language....

Das Boot was good in German, with English subtitles. They did all their swearing in English

Currently watching овод for the lush music and soulful looks. I wish it had subtitles, though.

The 1980 Овод? Omg! I had such a crush on Andrey Kharitonov!

No, the 1955, with a Shostakovich score (and a little Bach).

Oh. Well, I had a crush on Oleg Strizhenov, too.
