Re: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
For all the talk about poor marketing or lack of interest, according to Variety the BotFA teaser trailer got more youtube views than any other trailer (including both Mockingjay trailers and 50 Shades of Grey) over the last quarter:

Re: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
I love that poster with Sauron!!!! I do hope its real. As a very minor comment - I do see it a rather difficult item to get signed by more than a few participants given all the rather dark area. But that matters little next to an effective poster that reaches out and captures you.
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

I'm pretty sure it is a very well done photoshopped fake, but we'll see.

So we've got another new poster for BotFA on The Hobbit FB site...
..
...that uses an old image of Bilbo, and has Gandalf with the staff that the Necromancer destroyed.

I think this is terrific! Best of the secondary posters for the TH films imo.Elentári wrote:So we've got another new poster for BotFA on The Hobbit FB site...

And so far, I'm happy to see Bilbo projected much more in the marketing than other characters. Compared to the last two films.

Re: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
I agree, SV. I had to chuckle when I saw some people complaining that Bilbo was "out of proportion".
