:D

I've come to terms with it.

My rank used to be "Learning to swim."
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Could I ask for someone to enlighten me regarding the BB7 forum? It isn't a forum I've ever heard of.

I'll try a brief explanation.

Its another Tolkien originated site that sprang from TORC and from which this site eventually sprang. There's a lot more to the story, but that all that really matters any more.

Thanks Alatar. Can I be even nosier and ask you about the picture in your sig? It reminds me of a production of Moliere's "School for Wives" that I once saw.

Thats me performing as Sweeney Todd in the Sondheim show of the same name. I know, I'm far sexier than Johnny Depp, but he'll just have to live with that. ;)

Ah, the demon barber of Fleet Street. Hence the poised knife.

Do you remember the Two Ronnies once spoofing the story as "Teeny Todd?"

You know Al, it took me about 2 months to realise the "friends" referred to in your Sig were in fact the knives Sweeney uses...

Ophelia, we've already met, but I haven't actually welcomed you yet.

So I won't bother now! :D

Does that work like magic dwarf-runes?

So many welcomes; my eyes are misting over as with a pearly dye ...

A little shameless self promotion is in order!

My voice is a little tired in the clip, but it gives you an idea of the production. Small intimate venue and an ensemble. All the main leads doubled as chorus, excepting Mrs Lovett and Todd.

That's pretty amazing! I wish I could see the show.

Ophelia, welcome. Watch out, there is that creek behind the building.

This creek is harmless, once you remember your paddle.

*hands Ophelia a snorkle*

Hi, Ophelia! I'm Anth, the resident horse nut. So good to have you here!

I've read a couple of the things you've written, and I can't help feeling like... "Wow. Wait until Voronwë meets HER! He is gonna enjoy Ophelia being here, boy howdy!" :)

Voronwë is incredibly knowledgeable about the details and depths of Tolkien's world. He's on vacation for a few more weeks, but when he gets back, he is going to enjoy your level of knowledge!

But then I thought.. you know what, maybe they're lifelong friends already. ;) Have you already met him? He could have been the one who introduced you to the board for all I know!

Hi, bigmcstrongmuscle!
"What do you fear, lady?" Aragorn asked.
