Good strategies Narya. Is the word the same for everyone on any given day?

I don't know. We could compare notes. :D

Today's word, for me, is
Hidden text.

Yeah, I got it yesterday. I tried FORGE, which failed, and if GORGE turned out to be wrong, I was going to try LORGE. Which should be in the dictionary if you ask me. :spin:

"Does anyone ever think about Denethor, the guy driven to madness by staying up late into the night alone in the dark staring at a flickering device he believed revealed unvarnished truth about the outside word, but which in fact showed mostly manipulated media created by a hostile power committed to portraying nothing but bad news framed in the worst possible way in order to sap hope, courage, and the will to go on? Seems like he's someone we should think about." - Dave_LF

Do acronyms count? As in APIS, plural of Application Programming Interface?

Edit: ignore the question, I figured it out

What about Italian words that are used by English musicians, like "lento"?

If you exclude all borrowed English words, there won't be a language left.

Eh, Russian is even worse. It's got Slavic roots, but then Nordic, Turk, and later German and French all piled in. And now English.

Someone once read through a Russian dictionary and claimed they were a couple pages in before they came across a word of Slavic origin.

It was акула, shark.

I've solved the whole thing, except for three letters.

I don't suppose "ecity" is a word?

You’ve solved the whole thing???? Holy cow.

Don’t tell me!
Tell me just one.

Ecity might be fine.

For that one, I have EPIC / EXEC.

I'm still missing three letters.

Huh. Let me try EPIC then and see if I can get further.

Grumble, Apid is a cool word.

If "ecity" is a word, that works with "empty", and gives me "tents" and "totts" going down. But is "totts" a real word?

If ecity and totts are legit, then I've solved the whole thing. But I don't think they are.
