I didn't think I would when I first saw the information we got! But...

...knowing which vowel would have to be involved made a big difference, so after thinking for a few minutes I was reasonably confident in my guess. Also, knowing there wasn't an S made it unlikely the N would be in the second position, which helped narrow things down.

I think the programming of wafflegame might be faulty. I noticed some letters that were yellow but were not in the same row or column as their final position. Unless I misunderstand the rules? It's not the first time I've noticed this.

Hmm. I don't think I've run across this HOWEVER, yellow letters are often in the crossroad between 2 words and can be in either word. I'll pay attention and if I notice that I'll let you know.

With 3 green in the first try, I thought I would get it faster!

Those words are sneaksy. This one was especially sneaksy. Occasionally I'm tempted to 'go for it' on my second word but mostly I use a second defining word because, depending upon how many options there are after the first word, it can be a real rabbit hole.

Hidden text.

After my first word in this game for example, there were still at least 13/14 options. So I count up the letters in the possible answers to determine what 2nd word will give me my best option (for example in this case there were (at least) 5-G, 4-D, 3-T, 2-H,P,B,K,V, 1-M,Z,S,I) Then I find a 2nd word that will optimize my chances. In this case I wanted a word that definitely had a G and D with an I for the vowel. In some cases, especially when you have yellow tiles, it's important to look at placement to rule out words. If I have a lot of yellow tiles I write the potential words down in a column and determine what word would optimize my chances by elimination.
