I was playing spellingbeegames.com today. It's a game where you find as many words as you can only using the given letters, one letter being mandatory. I entered the word, 'valarian' as in the herb/root and it was disqualified as a 'bad word '. I've never had that happen. I can't figure out if it means something else that I'm unaware of. In any case, the word I'm trying to spell is 'valerian' with an 'e' and it wouldn't work.
When they say "bad word", do they mean an offensive term, or just something that's not a real word?
I looked up "Valarian" and apparently she's some character in the Star Wars universe.
Incidentally, "Valarin" is the language of the Valar. I wonder if they would have accepted that?
I looked further into the game (I've been playing it for about a month or so, since Maria mentioned it) and it appears they are doing some tweaking of the word lists, and his the game functions, etc... It used to say 'already found', 'not in list' (or something like that) but now it only says 'bad word' which I initially took to mean 'foul word' but that is not the case. They will be continuing to tweak and eventually remove 'bad word'.
