With apologies to Sherlock Holmes, if all the words with sensible letters have been ruled out, the words that remain, no matter how ridiculous, must be the correct solution.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

My method today was three random, non-repetitive words, then lots of head scratching and a bit of luck. It's an imperfect form of anagrams, if there are enough yellow/green tiles. I used to be terrible at anagrams, but a daily dose of Spelling Bee from the NY Times has helped greatly.

The three words were PIETY, LAUGH, and CROWN. The word of the day, WHACK, was not a ridiculous word for me ;) Rather useful, actually.

That's the process I used narya, but with different words. I've noticed many of the words have few vowels.

After my second guess, I knew it was one of two words. It's just bad luck that I didn't choose the right one for my third guess.

In playing this game I have come to the conclusion I just know way too many 5-letter words.

If someone figured out what the future words will be as has been reported, there must be some sort of algorithm/pattern to the correct answers. Other than 5 letters, I have not discerned a pattern. :P

Wow. That's a lotta green there, Inanna. :sunny:

IIRC, there's a list they are working through, so it's not necessarily a pattern to word choice.

I mean yeah but it's just any of those could have been right - they were real words, they had the right last 4 letters, they were 5 letters long. That honestly doesn't narrow it down much sometimes!
