HarperCollins and the Tolkien Estate have given permission for Chapter 5 (Riddles in the Dark) to be available for listening (and further fundraising) for one month.

The Hobbit - Chapter 5: Riddles in the Dark can be viewed at: http://bit.ly/Hobbitathon-Riddles-In-The-Dark

It's fab, I love how he reinforces the dual personalities of Sméagol and Gollum retrospectively, as it were. :)

Brilliant. Inanna, I'll be curious to hear how your daughter reacts, and if she finds it scary.

I just watched "Riddles in The Dark" and was wishing I had my copy of The Hobbit available to follow along, as I found Gollum's voice difficult to understand.

Still, great job, Andy, and thank you, Disney!

When the night has been too lonely, and the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows,
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes The Rose.

Although this wasn't done specifically for the pandemic, I enjoyed it very much. And there's some WONDERFUL harmonies! I didn't know there was so much singing talent in Foil, Arms and Hog!

Seems like he's someone we should think about." - Dave_LF

I know Al saw this on Facebook and I think he would agree it is worth sharing here.

The Met is offering the digital premiere of "The Ninth Hour: The Beowulf Story", this Saturday 27 June (NY time)

It's described as "a performative rock-noir reimagining" of the famous epic.

So... by the end of summer, we're gonna have some really unusual new tan lines to show off.

Someone once posted photos of unmasked superheroes with their distinctive tan lines.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.
