I'm skeptical about this (particularly with the misspelling of "Middle-earth"), but still curious to see what they come up with.

I can understand why they would rename it. Middle-earth has always "looked" wrong to me. Unless its all Caps like in this game:

I think its because Earth as a place is always capitalised. When I see "earth" I think of a substance, not a place.

I agree with Al. The screenwriter seems to have done his homework.
