That's what we were speculating, though we were not sure. According to someone that we met there, that had been going on for the better part of an hour, though (s)he settled down soon after I took that. I've never heard a coyote vocalize like that before.

I am lucky to live in a pretty incredible place, with the forests and ocean. But I will note that the hawk video is taken right in downtown (such as it is) Santa Cruz.
