Welcome to the Hall of Fire

Our messageboard is devoted to discussion of the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien and we welcome all discussion relating to literature, the arts, politics and philosophy. We are open to anyone 13 years of age and older who has a serious interest in discussing topics of artistic and intellectual merit. You must be a registered member to post here.

If you have activated your registration by email but still cannot post, please be patient. We also have to manually activate your permissions and an administrator will do that as one of us sees your name in the index.

* Our Two Main Rules *

Our overriding requirement for our members is courtesy. Our overriding requirement for our administrators is fairness.

We do have a word filter in place that prohibits the posting of the f-word, the c-word, and the n-word.

* Our Forums *

We have eight Discussion Forums. A description of each forum along with an explanation of its title is contained in a sticky thread at the top of the forum. The threads in seven of these forums can be read by the public. The Red Book Forum is for sharing original works and can only be read by registered members. Please read our Laws and Customs concerning the Red Book Forum before posting your original stories and poems. Our Showcase! Forum is for longer original works by our registered members. Email us at hof_shirriffs@ yahoo.com or send a PM to one of the Shirriffs if you would like to have your work displayed there (see Shirriff list below).

We also have three Social Forums to which all registered members are welcome. Golfimbul's Rabbit Hole (games) can be viewed by the public. Bag End (private conversation) and Mereth Aderthad (real life moot information) can only be viewed by registered members.

Our Business Forums are also open to registered members, except for the Ring o' Doom. That forum is for discussions between members and Marshalls that require some privacy. The forum entitled Messrs. Grubb, Grubb & Burrowes is for routine business matters and for contacting the Shirriffs and/or Marshals with any questions you may have. Nan Elmoth is used for resolving any personal conflicts you might have with other members.

Our registered members are welcome to post and start threads in all our discussion forums, social forums, and our two open business forums.
