Re: Architectural Photographs
I am pretty sure we walked part of that bridge. We ambled around the south end of Manhattan. We took a bus over to Brooklyn. It was a long time ago (about 16 years ago). Before cell phones with cameras were common and I don't have many photos from that trip, which is a real shame.

And jogging at the Capitol in better times.
None of these are architectural photos, but I was Challenged!

Re: Architectural Photographs
Ok, it happened.
I was very lucky to find the bridge empty (the snow storm helped partially, middle of a weekday some more) - it was an unparalleled chance for architectural photos.

Here's some beautiful drone footage of Dunottar Castle - if you remember, that's the castle I tried to visit a couple of years ago but showed up shortly after closing time:

Have you been to both of those places in just the last few days Jude? They are quite a distance apart!
The cherry blossoms against the old stonework is lovely. Dunnotter seems like it would be excellently situated for defense.

The drone footage of Dunottar Castle wasn't taken by me - I found it on youtube and posted it here. I was at Dunottar Castle on my last trip to the UK, in 2019. Pictures are a couple of pages back in this thread.
I had foot problems even then But not a blister that time.
(by the way, my current blister is now reduced enough to not interfere with my walking enjoyment)

The view from our front door when the sun is shining just right.

Re: Architectural Photographs
OH! I am most definitely jealous! I've long wanted a stained glass piece to go in the side-light by our front door. Do you know the person who did the pieces or were they in your home when you moved in? They are lovely.
I love chickadees and it's a theme in my home. I have a few wall murals I've done.. one is finished the other.. partly finished, and a tile above my stove. The first photo is in our foyer, the other is (as yet unfinished) in our dining area.

Re: Architectural Photographs
Those are beautiful, Rose!
We added all the stained glass in our remodel five years ago. Most of them Beth found on Craig's list and eBay and we had the contractor install them.
This is the most spectacular of them. We found this on Craig's list in Santa Rosa (about 3 hours away) and very carefully picked it up and brought it home and left in our basement for six months until we were ready to install it. Pictures don't really capture it, but ...

That last one is very Tolkien-ish, V.
Rose, your kitchen shot is frame-worthy. The bread, the bird. It’s lovely.
