Didn’t think it was a raven… does it have something in its claws?

I don't think so. It had just taken off from the top of a pole. I just barely caught a shot of it before it flew off.

It does look they are dropping something, though, doesn't it? I suppose it could be a trick of the picture (I am still getting to know a new phone camera with lots of bells and whistles).

Do tell, what kind of phone/camera? I smashed another screen and am in the market for a new phone (since replacing the screen costs over $100).

It is a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Not a cheap option by any means, but I really wanted a phone with as good a zoom lens as possible.

I do think it has its lunch in its claws.

Thanks, V. My son just pointed out to me this evening that the thoroughly cracked screen of my phone was, in fact, just the shield I'd installed on it when I first got it, and the phone itself is unmarred. Yay! I can put off getting a new phone for a while longer, and just replace the $6 shield.

And here's another beach photo from last week's vacation.

Narya, I just replaced my broken screen shield with a Matt-look instead of glossy. I love it!

Nice to see some of your Indian friends, Inanna!

Glad to hear that your phone is not really broken, Narya. Great beach photo!

Oooh. I missed some of these posts! Nice friends photos Inanna. I like the colors of your beach photo too Narya. And YAY! for the not cracked phone!

You have a lovely neighborhood, V. (Rose looks out the window to a rather drab view). My hubby just ordered the same phone but he's waiting for a SIM card. I'm glad to see it takes awesome photos.

Here's a few photos of Maui. I'll post more if anyone is interested.

In context I took the term 'friend' in a broader manner.. as a fellow creature sharing the planet with whom I cross paths. Friend and Friendly having different connotations.

I keep forgetting how pretty chickens are.
