What a wonderful thing to have a park like that across the street!
Mornings wouldn't suck so badly if they came later in the day.

I know. I am so incredibly blessed by that!

(I still pinch myself when I walk around my house or walk over to the park. It's nearly 700 acres of awesomeness.)

Ooo, I love photos of shallow, reflective pools. :)
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Me too! It's funny. I was going to take a picture of it while it was mostly still, but then my friend's son threw a rock in. (Of course, right? That's what kids do with rocks near water.) At first, I was trying to wait till it went still again. But then I realized the image was even cooler with the ripples, so it was a good thing. :)

That's amazing. :D She was more interested in the camera than the actual prey! :)

This is Love Creek, which runs along the street we live on (coincidentally named "Love Creek Road").

Think we've gotten some rain this weekend?

You should post a pic of what it normally looks like, but, yes, it looks pretty wild and crazy! How much rain did you get?

It's been raining all day here; we still really need the rain, so I'm not complaining. It would have been a lovely day to stay in bed and sleep, though. :ysleepy:

I think we have gotten about six inches.

Keep yer feet dry!
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”
