Seems like he's someone we should think about." - Dave_LF
A painful Hurdle today: I almost stumbled right out of the gate and flubbed the first word, but after making it nearly the whole way, I missed the final word by one letter.
I had a tough choice with the last (2 guess) round of hurdle. I decided to go for a word with as many letters from the unknown possibilities rather than play whack-a-mole.
I was pretty confident about the fourth letter when I made my final guess, but there were (at least) two possibilities for the first from my unknown letters. Came down to a craps shoot, then, though I probably should have...

...gone with the more common word rather than the first one that came to mind, since that's been a fairly reliable rule of thumb in the past.
I can't go in and look at my hurdle game once the game has been played so I can't recall the word I used, but my first guess for the last play was something that used .. I think only of the known letters (a vowel) so I would definitely know the correct answer. I've played a lot of games today.

Yes, I find that a *very* annoying quirk of that particular iteration.
On the other hand... I keep playing it... but find my 4-word 20-letter approach is producing remarkable results (wins but not 'fast' wins), but it did still come down to an absolute crapshoot of a guess on the last word which letter of the 6 that had not been ruled out would go in first place. I actually had typed a different one, thought about it, deleted it and retyped it with a different first letter and really lucked out on that.

lol I knew the 5th wasn't right but I could not for the life of me think of another word with these letters. At least it narrowed one down and I got it on the 6th try but man.

So close to getting the final Hurdle in one guess! I've only done that a couple times. Literally, twice, according to the stats page (and it sure is nice getting to see the stats page over time, which I don't for OG Wordle, since I clear my NY Times cookies so frequently ).
I played through the entire progression of multiple-Wordles-at-once variants for the first time in a week or two and came within one word of getting everything correct (I also didn't get today's OG Wordle, which has tripped me up a couple times recently).
