"Does anyone ever think about Denethor, the guy driven to madness by staying up late into the night alone in the dark staring at a flickering device he believed revealed unvarnished truth about the outside word, but which in fact showed mostly manipulated media created by a hostile power committed to portraying nothing but bad news framed in the worst possible way in order to sap hope, courage, and the will to go on? Seems like he's someone we should think about." - Dave_LF

So far, using all known letters in the next word worked well for me.

Inanna, you did get lucky! Frelga too!
Jude, I've been using that strategy (sometimes) and it (sometimes) works well.

I was lucky in my first two words also
However, I apparently can think of far too many words that end in those last four letters LOL

Next iteration: Absurdle.
Here's the explanation:

Here's the game:
https://qntm.org/files/wordle/index.html
You can play the game again by clicking new game, or by back tracking partway up your current game - it might end up with a different secret word (read the explanation).
I've played a few sets *ahem* and the answers so far have duplicate letters.

So I have two guesses with ten different letters. I have five yellows, which means that I know what all the five letters are. Now I just have to make those letters into a word to solve the puzzle...

Ah. and how do you choose the two first words? Narya had something about vowels and common consonants... where did that post go?

I choose two words that have no letters in common - that way I can narrow it down faster.

I normally start with "Query" and "Point" as it gives you almost all the vowels apart from "a" and there's no overlapping letters. Also, T and R are common letters.

I do think that using q in the first try is a bit of a waste….
Meanwhile, I’m at 4 yellows in my second word.
