He'll be glad to know that, Ophelia.
And even happier to enjoy your posts.

“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Alatar, I've just watched the You Tube clip. That is quite a voice, tired or not! And a terrific production, by the looks of it. The lady reminds me partly of Gollum and partly of Mrs Thenardier - but I actually mean that as a very high compliment! Initially, though, in the picture alone, she reminded me of Carmen Silvera playing - a character whose name I can't remember - from "L'Ecole Des Femmes" by Moliere (no number pad on laptops to punch in accents with).
Speaking of tired, I saw the LOTR Stage show again last night. I had the impression that the cast were knackered, but it was still wonderful. There were six understudies on, perhaps due to a particularly horrible flu-like lurgy which is sweeping through London at the moment.

You know, I got to name this horse, and I sure wish I'd had the guts to name him Hasufel or Arod. Although I'm not sure that Tolkien visualized either of them as a Paint horse...Ophelia wrote:What a lovely greeting, Anthriel-Atop-Shadowfax! (Or was it Hasufel? Or was it Arod? I'd best click back a page to see!)
No, I don't know Voronwë, but I've certainly enjoyed the posts of his that I have read.
Ahhh. As do many of us!
I still can't wait for him to meet you.
"What do you fear, lady?" Aragorn asked.
"A cage," Éowyn said. "To stay behind bars, until use and old age accept them, and all chance of doing great deeds is gone beyond recall or desire.”

If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Welcome, Ophelia! Nice to meet you (I don't think we've met, unless you post somewhere else under another name.)
I'm the resident Entwife, and like my kin, I can wander off every now and then... (RL, you know. )
And, apparently, bigmcstrongmuscle is a real person, although that name sounds like a bot... So, welcome!

Ophelia, you have to take baby with at least 2 1/2 tablespoons of salt.
Honestly I have never really seen him angry at anyone around here, and judging from his sardonic post I see nothing any different.
Just let him sit in your lap once and a while and keep giving him bottles. He'll be fine.
You just have to learn how to read tuckoo-eze.
