No, just me being me - requiring ultra specificity in information given (aka “That is *not* the Q I asked”. I’m glad I’m not a school teacher; college kids don’t care).

I feel like Cinderella, it's 2:01AM and I just sat down after decorating the tree, refreshed the page, and no more Letter Boxed. :bawl:

I was so happy to find a nice long word that I wasn't paying attention...

I just got booted out of Spelling Bee... after one word

Good for you! Yeah, it only allows you to accumulate a certain number of points. I've been playing something called Letter Garden. It's far too addictive and eats up way too much time. I must stop.

Elengil, me too! I like spelling bee because I'm only allowed to be totally obsessive for a short time, then it boots me out.

Raconteur's offering would be 'tale' then, so that works

Free online word game. One word per day. Works a bit like the old Mastermind game :)

It's a fun puzzle! I've been doing it for about a week. Fortunately, they limit me to one puzzle per day. :D

My next guess for yesterday was going to be LORGE

They don't let you enter words that aren't in its vocabulary. Watch out for duplicate letters. In yesterday's case, a G lit up green, but there were actually 2 of them in the correct word - GORGE. My strategy is to enter 3 words with unique letters. I include all of the vowels, AEIOUY, plus the most likely consonants, CDHLMNSRT. After that, there's generally enough to determine the word in another two or three guesses. For example: TRAIN, LUCID, MONEY, uses 14 unique letters.
