I'd be solving more of these if I didn't have to post another one afterwards.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

I'm still confused. That's exactly precisely what I was saying. Frelga won and so I said she should post the next one. I don't understand why that would engender an eye-roll. But whatever.

Agreed, though since I took this quote in your place to begin with you can safely answer this one and only still have one quote to post in return.

was a 2020 planner.

"Does anyone ever think about Denethor, the guy driven to madness by staying up late into the night alone in the dark staring at a flickering device he believed revealed unvarnished truth about the outside word, but which in fact showed mostly manipulated media created by a hostile power committed to portraying nothing but bad news framed in the worst possible way in order to sap hope, courage, and the will to go on? Seems like he's someone we should think about." - Dave_LF

New quote:

I can see the quote in the browser, but Tapatalk can't handle a quote within a quote, apparently

Well, from the collection of posthumous material that was published as "The Silmarillion" - if that's what you mean.

Okay, let me try to parse this - if you mean the collection that contains the Ainulindalë, the Valaquenta, the Silmarillion, the Akallabêth, and Of the Rings of Power and the Third Age, and was published under the overall title of "The Silmarillion", then yes.

If you mean the actual Silmarillion, then no.
