Is it right in the beginning of Chapter 6, Lothlórien?

Several sentences have the right meaning, but different words and they don't seem quite right.

This must be it:

'Your words bring good counsel, Gimli,' said Aragorn. `We cannot build a house, but tonight we will do as the Galadhrim and seek refuge in the tree-tops, if we can. We have sat here beside the road already longer than was wise.'

That's the one.

This one ended up as "I don't have words". But an earlier and closer version was:

There will never be too many words for me.

Different meaning from the original, but more key words were retained.

Is it Gimli saying to Legolas, "Men need many words before deeds"?

Good guess, but no.

Here's a hint: change "too many" to "too long" and you have one more keyword from the original.

Here's a new one:

That *is* a wonderful line. I will now remember it.

Tolkien really did drop absolute gems from time to time.

So the "leaves" in that quote - is it actually leaves as in leaving something alone, or actual leaves from a tree?
