Or we learn the 'wrong' thing... like... it's okay to completely disregard entire populations of people...

Yeah, mistake implies that it was not intentional.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

It could be taken that way. The dictionary includes both misguided and wrong as a description of 'mistake'. It boils down to people have treated one another horrendously. And it's worse (imo) when it's 'justified' by religion/dogma/politics.

They're making "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" into a movie!

I don't know if this will be any good, but I'm already in love with the scenery and landscapes.

Aw, thanks. That does sound like Tibetan singing bowls. I love the restrained, somewhat mournful duet. It is contemplative.

I thought of putting this in the Cat and Dog thread in Bag End, but I think it should go here.

I saw this post saying something like "why could we remember tons of phone numbers but we can't remember our passwords?" So I'm thinkin... use old phone numbers for passwords. Brain hack!

That's true, I remember my high school friend's phone number.

Today is 'Daughter's Day' (this is the first year I was aware of it) but I also just happened to hear a song for the first time today that was just so incredibly sweet. Ryan from the band AJR wrote this song 'Winter' for his (hopefully future) daughter.. even before finding/having a girlfriend.
