I've removed this from the Krugman thread and locked it, as it consists of nothing more than people hacking at each other.

This is another subject that has been discussed ad infinitum here. sf, I will not warn you again to stop repeating arguments that you have repeatedly made before.

Sen. Feingold is a politician - and a very partisan one at that. His interpretation of the FISA court decision is a political one, not a legal one. I reiterate my opinion that for all practical purposes, the decision preempts any effort to hold anyone criminally liable for the warrantlless wiretappi...

I guess the real question is "what is literature?" Is Beowulf literature? Chaucer? How about Tom Wolfe's Electric Koolaid Acid Test?

Or perhaps the real question is: "does it matter what we call it?"

As for warrantless wiretapping, the FISA court has now held that that was legal. So there is absolutely no justification for investigating whether a crime was committed, whether or not we agree with that decision. As for the justice department hirings issue, it's easy to say that it would be nice to...

So, Voronwë, you don't think that cases where there is clear evidence that a crime (not an "error in judgment," a crime) has been committed should be investigated, if the investigation would lead to anyone in the Bush administration? I think that the only cases were there really are clear...

But plenty of people on the left were saying similar things, especially if they were Clinton supporters. And I don't think they were necessarily off base. I don't think that is true, Prim. The vast majority of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party supported Obama over Clinton, and many were ...

I think Krugman has a lot of good things to say, and his ideas are worth listening to (among others). I also think that he is very full of himself. It's interesting that no one seems to remember just how insulting and dismissive he was about Obama (and those of us who were early supporters of Obama)...

I heard in an interview this morning, that Christina, the subject of the above painting, suffered from polio and literally was crawling across the farm. Definitely a very moving portrait of the human condition.

No, don't. But that shouldn't stop you from vigorously correcting him (I'm assuming that this is a "him"; it sure sounds like it :halo: ). After all, we don't want crackpot theories (or worse, the views of David Day) to go uncontested in a public forum.
