Interesting... I just visited three downtowns of US - NY, Washington and Pittsburgh, and each had a wonderful character of its own. New York is New York. No city like it - if you are feeling low it can lift your spirits up to the skies. Washington DC is regal and authoritative. It is very clear that...

I've known a ton of people I have never, and will never, have sex with. Thank god. If you had sex with everyone you know, I would be worried of meeting you. ;) This has been discussed earlier, but it came to my mind with the "pendulum" remark. Sex in a serious relationship/marriage is als...

I read that book around a year back. Did you like it? I did... found the perspective very interesting.

Just finished "Everything is Illuminated", one book of which I actually saw the movie before I read the book.

However, I think I have a lot of credit with the Music God since I loathe both The Doors AND Jimi Hendrix and I know in the deep, deep, deep places of my heart that the Music God agrees. No he DOESN'T!!! How can anyone, anyone ever resist the voice of Jim Morrison. Even now, yeaarrrrrrrsss ...

I've read both, and I will pick up the Third. I think it's because of the Dragons. I really love Dragons... I had no idea that they were planning to make it into a movie, though... it sounds a bit awful, but since I am not a BIG fan of the book, I guess I'll enjoy the movie. Interesting point, I bou...

“All generalizations are false, including this one.”
- Mark Twain

And I find Holby's observation extremely umm... observant - as soon as it has moved from "men" "women" to "Watcher" and "Voronwë(with umlaut)", we move away from generalizations.

Whistler, would it be possible for you to show us a photo, its clone, clone removed etc... like a step-by-step thing. Unless its your unique style, and you don't want it mimicked.

And you look very GRAND. :D

I had to return mine to the library before I could finish my second read. sigh... after India, I find books very expensive in the US, haven't started buying fiction yet. Compare this to the way I would HOARD books when back home, its really quite sad. :P

I have no problem with U2, though I do get them mixed up with Creed, so I'm not sure what that says about me... I missed this last time... both great bands, in my opinion. And I love U2. And I don't want to hear anything which would make me like their music less. :P And this has made me realize som...

That was my point. If the person doesn't exhibit racist behavior AT WORK, then there should be no problem. But suppose you knew the guy attended some "anti-someone-or-other" meetings, meetings where YOUR "group" was specifically hated? What then? It might very well make you unco...
