Also the US never signed on to the treaty to ban them. Nor did Ukraine or Russia. It's not ideal but the Russians have entrenched themselves and mined the areas they occupy. There's a tactical reason for this, beyond pure retaliation.

It's also dangerous. I'm not sure my local emergency services are paying for a blue check and people do refer to Twitter for information during storms and natural disasters.

The saddest part to me is there are going to be people who agree with Stephen Miller about drone bombing unarmed civilians in boats. Not sure what twisted their souls into thinking that kind of thing is okay and I hope they eventually find the help they need.
