Re: New Star Wars films from Disney: SPOILERS WELCOME
15 second tease released on Instagram of all places. Finn and Kylo Ren are having a fight! Someone with more time on their hands than I do today...how does this fit with PtB's synopsis? Quite well, I think. :) Major spoiler below from the synopsis: Kylo Ren flees into the forest. It is night-time, ...

Re: Peter Jackson at Oxford
Kristin finds it puzzling, as well. I'm away at a film festival in Italy and haven't had a chance to read the Q&A. But the comment is puzzling. I can only guess that he means that Miramax (i.e., Michael Eisner of Disney) cut the budget and insisted on a one-film version, as I discuss in my book...

Re: New Star Wars films from Disney: SPOILERS WELCOME
Jake Lloyd's story is incredibly tragic. He was ridiculed in school by his peers after TPM was released and widely panned, and then he endured years and years of harassment from bitter Star Wars fans who obviously entirely missed the generous spirit and hopeful perspective of the original trilogy. T...

Re: The last movie you saw Thread
But maybe it would have worked as a silent movie with a heavy metal soundtrack? Funny you say that cuz my one big complaint with the movie, and I was surprised by how much it bothered me and that I haven't heard anyone else mention it, is that I felt the soundtrack should've been more of a wild, ro...

Re: The last movie you saw Thread
For those who aren't aware, Mad Max Fury Road has also been adopted as something of a standard bearer for feminism. Which may seem bizarre given the testosterone fuelled look and feel of the film. But, without any spoilers, the females in the movie are the instigators, while the males are merely re...

Mad Max: Fury Road. George Miller's still crazy, and it's wonderful. Best film of the year for me.

Re: Winter is Coming: A Game of Thrones (SPOILERS)
In Season 5, Episode 8, Game of Thrones gave us a scene that absolutely shamed the Nazgûl (and most battles) of PJ's LOTR. I just can't believe that just happened on TV. Amazing. Have to say I agree with the last comment but not the first. Its excellent CGI for TV, but you really couldn't even begi...

Haven't seen it in r/movies or r/starwars. Anyone else want the honors or should I risk either going down in flames or kissing my inbox goodbye? Re: New Star Wars films from Disney: SPOILERS WELCOME
I appreciate that. But all I did was write a synopsis based on a bunch of reports from a website so that y'all could get a sense of what the film might be about. Credit goes to The Hall of Fire! Thanks Elrond. :) I'm actually pretty surprised that no one else among the tens of millions of Star Wars ...

It was here first, folks. We are Star Wars spoilers hipsters. Or something. :P River talking to an excited friend who just discovered the synopsis: "Yeah, that's old news. And I know the guy who wrote it. He shared it with me before anyone else saw it. Did you have anything else to tell me? No...
