words shift with time for example "wog" meaning some-eone of non anglo-celtic background in Australia was considered quite derogatory 30 years ago but I have adopted it.. with pride.. as in woggy parking, wog-foods and wog-chick turning that word into a badge of honour does not diminish me...

reading this thread has caused me to reconsider the place of Ol' Tom

I usually try and get those chapters over and done with and my eyes glaze over any poems included
