Just got a parcel of film scans back from when TTBK & I went to visit TOB with his family. We went to Shackleford Banks, which has true wild horses on it- genetically confirmed offspring of Spanish Mustangs. I may not have slept the night before we went... http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a31/ll...

My professional opinion ;) would be the one on the right. The leading lines are slightly stronger, plus you've got the rule of thirds working for you in that one over the other. :D

Some peace & tranquility would be nice... so I revisited this blog post I recently made, and realized I never shared it here, as I had promised:

Yes, River, TTBK & I are heading into our 4th year of photographing professionally. :D Mostly weddings and families, with some of our personal work available as well. (For example, once I blog the above images, they will be available in our shop for prints!) http://www.thekarths.com Feel free to...

These are film- shot with my handy-dandy Pentax K1000. I went back to my roots this year & started incorporating film in our business work (mostly for the weddings) and shooting my personal work on film. It hasn't been easy, but it has been worth it!

It is so cold here, so I went back & worked on some fall photos we took earlier this year. We take the dogs out by this field almost every day, and I felt it was time to capture it... I hope these aren't too big. I normally diptych these & resize them for our blog, but you are getting a spec...

There were definitely themes from the LotR movies. It kind of took me out of this movie for a bit. For this reason, I am glad we were able to listen to at least part of the score before the movie viewing. (We ended up getting two Disc Ones in our SE set so we had to wait for a replacement before he...

I guess I just assumed most knew where we lived... but I've never "met" you before. :) Hi!

I found out too late that the DCI finals were near where we live... :( would have been nice to experience it again. My better half has never experienced the Corp & I thought he just might love it. (My family took him to see Blast, which is great the first time, but hasn't changed much over the y...

Ragtime & Blues seem to work better in a jazz context, at least for me. I have all my Gershwin recordings & covers in with my jazz collection.

Yep!

He actually could add extra notes after he had cut a roll, so there are chords in there that would be impossible for just one pianist to play.

I so love that idea!! That even dead he's still better than the rest.

I had a crush on a pianist my freshman year of high school... One evening after band practice he sat down and played Rhapsody in Blue (yes, the entire thing) and I will be forever in his debt. The best way to really hear Gershwin is through his piano roll cds. They took player piano rolls that Georg...

Lol!

My response was a lot more enthusiastic, but honestly some of Wilson's best stuff has been in the last 10 years.

I'm liking it more, now that's I've been through the disc twice. It's a very interesting mix. :)

One of my goals is to some day photograph the lavender fields in France. That way you all can ooh & aah over them. ;)

Here's some butterflies I've captured of late- can't remember how to post photos so here's the link:
