I caught these fellows while they were still drenched in dew.

Instead of hiding in our house with all the lights off, a Cem-Halloween tradition, TTBK & I took our cameras out tonight. We went to the Fish & Wildlife area (same place we got married) to "shoot" the cranes. Words cannot explain what it is like to see the cranes, but in the words ...

I saw a similar moon last night. So beautiful. And Maria captured it well!

I was on my way home & by the time I had figured out what stops & settings I could use on my SLR I realized I didn't even have the camera with me.

Yep, as Prim pointed out it is a garter snake. That is also Wilson in the photo, along with my hand & my shiny new camera. And random trivia would be that the picture was taken at the place where we are getting married.
