Instead of hiding in our house with all the lights off, a Cem-Halloween tradition, TTBK & I took our cameras out tonight. We went to the Fish & Wildlife area (same place we got married) to "shoot" the cranes. Words cannot explain what it is like to see the cranes, but in the words ...

I saw a similar moon last night. So beautiful. And Maria captured it well!

I was on my way home & by the time I had figured out what stops & settings I could use on my SLR I realized I didn't even have the camera with me. ;)

Newport, Oregon, cem—where Keiko the killer whale used to live. (And how my tiny daughter loved him! And vice versa—I am not kidding.) Maybe you won't get that far on this honeymoon, but it might be worth a trip later on, for your second or fifth or twelfth! :D Poor Keiko... such a sad ending to hi...

We're heading to the Kentucky one for a part of our honeymoon! :D

No worries, Prim. We'll probably post some pictures before we leave for our honeymoon. :)

It's my favorite as well, which is why I posted it.

Just another shot taken at the place we will be getting married... soon...

I hate those spiders. Our neighbor had one build a web by their front door when I was a kid. I totally hated going over to their house and would quickly run past the spider. :P I've never seen spiders like that, but I did allow a large house spider to keep her web over my doorway for two years. (So...

:D Not only will TTBK & I both have cameras slung around our necks... but my "Something old" is my SLR. (It's practically a family heirloom, been passed from my grandparents, to my dad, to my brother, to me, in the past 22 years!) Plus the 3 people in the wedding party all happen to be...

Yep, as Prim pointed out it is a garter snake. That is also Wilson in the photo, along with my hand & my shiny new camera. And random trivia would be that the picture was taken at the place where we are getting married. :D

We have blue herons around here, also lovely, and startling in flight. I love herons. We are a hot spot county for blue ones & we even occasionally see green ones. Once TTBK & I were taking a walk & a heron was fishing in the stream beside the walkway. It burst into flight & all we ...

Is that a Komodo dragon? Yep, it is. Native to Indiana & Michigan, apparently. ;) And thank you, Holby! That's quite a compliment. :D The field where TTBK shot those deer has lately afforded us some unique animals, such as the shots I took below. A mother Sandhill Crane & her baby. Common i...
