Ok. First Question for Elen.

What was Denethor's first command to Pippin?

"Speak and be not silent"
"Shut up"
"Sing me a song"
"Take your place in the Citadel Guard"

By refusing to allow him to come with the Riders to Minas Tirith.

Hmm. A close one, but I'll accept that.

The correct answer was: He released him from his service

Do you want to go again or stop there?

That's the problem with the "experts" not being given the choices. But I think we can all trust your judgment!

I'll go again.

The victor would emerge stronger than ever! But of course, the victor could only be Isengard if Saruman first obtained the Ring.

Or something like that.

Close enough!

"The victor would emerge stronger than either, and free from doubt"

Voronwë, you're now at Weathertop. Will you stop there or try again? Bear in mind, if you get the next question wrong, you'll be back to Bag End; if you get it right, you move on to Ford of Bruinen and its Inanna's go.

Ok. Inanna's go

What title did Merry and Pippin claim at the ruined gates of Isengard?

Gatekeepers
Way-watchers
Doorwardens
Caretakers

hmmm..... I really can't remember. I know its not Way-watcher. And doorwarden does not seem to ring a bell either. And since they were also using the stores (e.g., weed) of Isengard rather than just standing at the gate, I'll go with:

Caretakers.

(goes hides under a table).
