Plot twists.

"Perfection" and "goodness" and "happiness" are boring and would never sell. "God" has to keep things interesting or the audience would stop watching.

Whenever things start going too well in my life, I get nervous-- because I'm going to get hit by another plot twist soon, just to keep things interesting.

All us little people can do is try to get back to neutral as fast as possible, after the shock of whatever it was is over and try not get too caught up in the ups and downs of life.
