I haven't laughed that much in a long time. Thank you!

I think "Oh boy, how not quote me" will be my new favorite senseless saying.
The dumbest thing I've ever bought
was a 2020 planner.

"Does anyone ever think about Denethor, the guy driven to madness by staying up late into the night alone in the dark staring at a flickering device he believed revealed unvarnished truth about the outside word, but which in fact showed mostly manipulated media created by a hostile power committed to portraying nothing but bad news framed in the worst possible way in order to sap hope, courage, and the will to go on? Seems like he's someone we should think about." - Dave_LF

LOL.. That would fit well in the 'Unfortunate typo's' thread, even though it's not really a typo, it would fit in with the discussion about using Google translate for translations.

If we're on the subject of Star Wars parodies, I find myself strangely compelled to keep re-watching this one:

When the night has been too lonely, and the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows,
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes The Rose.

And now Danielle Cash (Eruname) tells me if I knew the proper Dutch pronunciation, it would spoil the joke!

Well, for now, I'll just be glad I don't speak Dutch...it was the best laugh I've had all day!

How is she doing? I haven't crossed paths with her in a long time.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

I know the proper Dutch pronunciation, but I also know how Americans tend to pronounce it/how it was intended to be pronounced in the meme. It sounds kinda pretentious if American's say it the way it would be said in Dutch.

Rose, I couldn't wrap my tongue and throat around how it's supposed to be pronounced on the best day I ever had! When I was studying German, those guttural sounds always eluded me!

Frelga, we are friends on FB. She doesn't post very often, but as far as I can tell, she's doing fine. Jen was having a really bad time recently, and Eru was one of the people who came to London to moot with her and support her:

I did art appreciation for children for many years. When it comes to something like 'VanGogh' I would pronounce it the 'English' way but I would also (at least attempt) to pronounce it the proper way so that they would know if they ever heard it pronounced differently.

I'm tempted to get one on canvas, but I'd have serious trouble deciding which one:

This does look good in a frame, though....

These guys specialize in doing covers of songs with quite different emotional tones from the originals. They crack me up:
