Big Basin State Park is about a half hour drive. The hike is about a 10.5 mile loop, with the falls about 5.5 - 6 miles in.Jude wrote:Wow! How close is that to where you live?

Inanna! Lovely.
I have a weird claim to fame (well, not really fame...) but I can mimic a peacock, a sheep, and a cat pretty convincingly.

Majestic! All we have in our neighborhood is the chickens that out neighbors somehow manage to keep despite having two cats.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Daughter & I were duly amazed as well! He visited us for 2 days, resting under our mango tree as we all waited for the monsoon.
And this peacock sat on its perch the whole time we had our lunch - at A hotel in Jaipur (one of those palaces converted to a heritage hotel deal):

Re: Nature Pics
This little guy was in our yard last week. I watched for about an half hour as it searched for grubs and peanuts before it decided to take a drink and amble off to (likely) find somewhere to sleep. (Is that photo too big? I struggle with how to attach photos)

They are! They are my daughters favorite animal from when she when she was only about 3, the embodiment of her 'totem' so to speak.Frelga wrote:Those trash pandas are so cute!
Fortunately we've never had a problem with them in our trash and they are welcome to eat all the grubs they can find!
