Was "blacksmith" somehow derived from "burgler"?

Are the first two words also the first two words of the original quote?

This shouldn't be too hard, I don't think.

Many of them are nuts and acorn trees? Now, my friend, it no longer hear the creatures know.

Is it Treebeard, about the woods devastated by Saruman?

Many of those trees were my friends, creatures I had known from nut and acorn; many had voices of their own that are lost forever now.

I am going to post this simply for the bizarreness of the translation. Not a single word, or the overall meaning, of the translated sentence relates to the original, except that the original sentence starts with Yes.

Yeah, so what's getting to you, ma'am?

If this it too annoying, I'll post a better quote later today.

Is it even directed towards or referring in any way to a female (as the ma'am would suggest)?

Not at all. The speaker is in fact alone at the moment (although the word "you" is also in the original).
