Ed Sheeran
Re: Ed Sheeran
That is bloody fantastic! Thanks, Al! I was close, but I definitely wasn't getting anything English out of it.
Jude, I thought you meant that guy (with the beard?). He did resemble you! Did you sneak out and grow a beard for a disguise?

Re: Ed Sheeran
Hmmm... was it filmed during the time I was working undercover in the MacGregor Farm? Then... possibly.

So guess who just headlined Glastonbury with just a guitar and a loop pedal.

When the night has been too lonely, and the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows,
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes The Rose.

I can't watch it here. I'll bet it was fantastic!

Jeremy Corbyn
Since 1410 most Welsh people most of the time have abandoned any idea of independence as unthinkable. But since 1410 most Welsh people, at some time or another, if only in some secret corner of the mind, have been "out with Owain and his barefoot scrubs." For the Welsh mind is still haunted by it's lightning-flash vision of a people that was free.

Filmed on some glacier in the Tyrol, one of the Western states of my country. ^^
Sheeran does not really make my kind of music but I have to admit he is really good at what he does (and not just from a commercial perspective).

Re: Ed Sheeran
I feel like I should like him a lot more than I actually do.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

I feel the same way about Bruce Springsteen. Unfortunately, I dozed off while watching a recent special "Bruce Springsteen: In His Own Words".

Re: Ed Sheeran
@Alatar: Sheeran will give an exclusive concert for 200 people in the area where the video was filmed on 15 December 2017 (https://www.zillertal.at/en/tips/winter ... eeran.html). You cannot buy a ticket for the concert but with some luck you can win two tickets (info in the linked page - I checked the respective websites; participants are not just limited to German or Austrian citizens; so if you feel lucky, go for it ^^).
Re: Ed Sheeran
Beutlin, if it's filmed in the Tyrol, how come the car has the steering wheel on the right?

Re: Ed Sheeran
Good catch. That said, the car drives on the right. Most simple explanation would be that they shot the interior scene of the car in Britain and simply forgot about it in post-production.Sunsilver wrote:Beutlin, if it's filmed in the Tyrol, how come the car has the steering wheel on the right?
Of course, it could also be that in the story the car actually belongs to one of Sheeran's friends (or his love interest) who took it with him/her. An English cousin of mine used to travel with his immigrant father from London to eastern Austria each summer by car. Long car ride for European standards for sure, and you have to take care after passing the Channel to drive on the right side.

Re: Ed Sheeran
I've heard a little bit of Ed Sheeran on the radio over the years and briefly sought out some of his stuff on my own after he recorded the end credits song for The Desolation of Smaug, but ultimately I've heard very little of his stuff so I'm really enjoying listening to the songs in this thread. The Nina Simone cover that Alatar posted on the first page is phenomenal.
