Supremely so!
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Magnificent!
My high school did a deal each year where grades 9-12 sang, amongst other songs, the Hallelujah Chorus as part of the year end church service. Fortunately I was in the alto group and could mostly rumble along at my natural pitch ( such as I have ). So me and the Hallelujah Chorus goes back a while.
I just wish I was creative enough to think of this, and implement it with some of my friends in one of the dress rehearsals. I'm sure I would have got into trouble, but wouldn't it have been worth it?
