On the topic-fork: I'm with Elentári. I can't think of an ensemble sound more pleasing, to me, than a good English male choir (treble/countertenor/tenor/bass). The countertenors, in particular, bring a richness and resonance to their line that female altos just don't.

On the original topic, the Vatican is expected to make an announcement of worldwide guidelines, rather than continuing to deal with this on a country by country basis. If bishops continue to not do their jobs after this...I imagine we'd see more serious discipline of bishops.
