I find Kabbalah fascinating, although I don't know much.

Impish, I never knew that. But then, for Chassidim the personality of their Rabbis has always be of great importance - an unusual view in Judaism, IMO.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

This recent Kabbalah craze is kinda cultish, IMO, though perhaps I shouldn't give voice to it in this forum.

But taking a small splinter from the Jewish mystical tradition and, viola! creating a fully fledged 'religion' out of it, with little red threads around the wrist and all...it's not kosher. It's all ethereal without any tachlis.
