Well, here's the finished piece, with grassy base!

And, just for scale, beside the CD of the Bakshi Soundtrack.

:shock: That's beautiful work, Alatar!
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

That is nice work. It must be really difficult to do. Especially with those huge fingers of yours. :shock:

That's lovely, Alatar! :)

But can he take it up with true... er, Lobelia? :D

Wouldn't it be cool to get a pic of those two appearing to fighting? =:)
but being a cheerful hobbit he had not needed hope, as long as despair could be postponed.

Well, Hobby, if you come to San Francisco ... .

Holby, I'm sure Alatar's fingers aren't actual size in that picture.

Well, pretty sure.

<is scared>

Hobby, will we get to meet Lobelia in SF? :D

I just want to say, the pictures that Alatar posted do not do the job that he did painting this figure justice.
