Voronwë's SIL autocorrect gives a whole new meaning to the Túrin shroud, LOL...

Awesome photos, AJ! :)

Brrrrr! But beautiful.

But disastrous. That happens here, too. Brings down trees, cuts power lines, turns freeways into ice rinks. . . .
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

From inside a nice warm house, yes. Unless you've got big trees looming. We've got an arborist coming in a couple of weeks and I'm seriously hoping we don't get an ice storm in the meantime.

I grew up with pretty regular ice storms, and know what you mean. Though I was a kid-teenager, so my parents usually had to deal with their effects! I just got to stay home from school. :)

I saw it days ago and went off to look up a quotation and got interrupted and never came back.

It is a gorgeous picture.
