Total Lunar Eclipse on Solstice!

Needless to say, that doesn't happen very often. The last one was in 1638 or 1378... depending on your source.

Clouds here are forecast to be around 90%. That always seems to happen when something astronomically cool happens where I live. I'm definitely going to be taking peeks outside a lot, to see if the clouds happen to part for a bit.

It's likely to be completely cloudy here, too. We've been having a few very rainy days! But I plan to at least peek outside and see if the clouds had lifted a bit, too.

I am usually sound asleep by the time this thing is set to start. Whether I can stay awake or not is the question.

It was too cloudy here, too. I happened to wake up at 3 am and went outside to check again, and although the clouds had an orange cast to them, there was nothing else to see. That was minorly cool, though.

I slept through it. My friends who had painstakingly stayed up to watch reported that all there was to be seen was Cambridge's usual cloudy haze. I think I made the right decision.
