Hey, Voronwë, doesn't your post belong in Obama Phenomenon? ;) :D I suppose you are a part of Obama's delegate math!

Yeah, it probably does. But unless you feel strongly about it, I'm not going to move it.

This probably should go in that thread, too, but I'm already typing here and arguably this is also about Obama's delegate math. I just got an email from my sister in New York surprisingly stating that she voted for Obama after all, after stating all weekend that she was supporting Clinton. Apparently the arguments that I made (and that my brother-in-law her husband made) ended up convincing her that Obama was a better candidate after all. I'm very impressed!

Well, I was joking!

I voted too. At a church! Well, the part where they have us voting isn't very churchy.

I voted in a neighbor's garage. (I'd never seen/heard of such a thing before moving to SF; in San Jose, I voted at a labor union's local facility and in Virginia, we normally voted in schools. Is SF unusual in this, or is it common to have individuals make their residential garages available for voting in national elections?)

One year I got to vote in a neighbor's garage. I always thought that was cool. So yeah, it happens in Bakersfield too.

Maybe it's a California thing.

Very early Georgia returns have McCain and Huckabee in a statistical tie 36%-35%, with Romney ten points behind. If this holds up, McCain may have a very good night overall.

Connecticut and New Jersey have been called by CNN for McCain, while Massachussetts has been called for Romney.

On the Democratic side, they have called Oklahoma for Clinton, and Illinois for Obama (in addition to Georgia).

CNN is now projecting that Arkansas goes to Clinton and Huckabee.

Oh man, I hope you're right. I'm seeing some very discouraging things in exit polls for McCain. But who needs exit polls? Bring on the real thing!

I know...both candidates have SUCH attenuated ties to Arkansas!

You don't? Dude, this is like...this week's Big Game. How are you going to celebrate it properly? ;)

I wish I drank. I mean I wish I liked the taste of alcohol. I'm sometimes slightly jealous when Griff is enjoying a draft Blue Moon or something. I'll sip it --- the taste is nice, but anything more and the alcohol overpowers everything and it's very nasty.

I would be very wary of early exit polls.

Tennessee has been called for Clinton. And I think I forgot to mention that Illinois went to McCain. That should cheer you up, Faramond. :)

No, no, I already knew that. Because of exit polls, see? Evil things.

Has New York been called for McCain? The polls are closed there! See, it means something. Closer than expected. I think McCain will still take New York. If he doesn't it's the apocalypse for his campaign!

Delaware for McCain, Alabama for Huckabee.

New York polls close in 6 minutes.

AP by way of the New York Times' front page (though the NYT also has McCain leading with 10 percent reporting.)

Okay, the point about exit polls, especially those early leaked ones being dicey is well taken. Delaware was one of the states where Romney had a surprise exit poll lead, but apparently it's been called for McCain. Maybe the call is wrong too?

I think Ron Paul really won Delaware.

New York has been called for Clinton and McCain. Clinton has also taken New Jersey and Massachussets. I guess the Kennedy endorsement didn't help too much.
