I don't even know on what planet liking one fantasy movie over another is offensive, although I suspect it's Earth. People are surprising creatures sometimes.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

To be fair, if somebody was all like "Transformers are way better than LOTR!", that is something a reasonable person could be offended about. ;)

Is it? I mean, clearly someone saying that would be wrong, but that's sad, not offensive.

You guys would be surprised at how offended some people have gotten at my expressing that opinion, or perhaps at how I have expressed it, here in this very forum. I hate offending people, so I would rather be safe than sorry.

ETA: Just to be clear, not about Transformers, which I have never seen.

Time means little on the Intertoobz.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Yay! I'll be curious to hear what you think of the additions/changes/appendices/etc.
