By the way, my web filter claims the links to the Dain concept art contain spyware.
Edit: Just the first one, actually.

Cool. Don't think I have seen that before. I like it. But what is the light shining below his beard?

LOL! And btw, I believe my use of the word "unfortunate" was rather misconstrued...
There is magic in long-distance friendships. They let you relate to other human beings in a way that goes beyond being physically together and is often more profound.

Ah yes, I see. My apologies!
Don't mind either of those concept sketches for Dain.

Re: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
On whether or not the theater started to smell? To be honest, this is my first "triple" or "double" feature. A friend of mine attended the Nolan-Batman triple feature two years ago and he could not really enjoy it. He was really tired when Film 3 hit the screen. But then again, he is weak, and my brother and I are creatures of the night. Originally, we only wanted to see "The Battle of the Five Armies" on the tenth of December, but our dad's out of town, so we said "to hell with it" and decided on booking the triple feature. Anyone else got his or her ticket yet? When is the film coming out in the States?Voronwë the Faithful wrote:I look forward to hearing about it!

I tried to do a Star Wars OT marathon with friends once and was ready to go home halfway through Empire Strikes Back. I can only imagine what LotR would do to me.
I did do a Toy Story marathon when TS3 came out and that was a lot of fun, but those movies are pretty short!

I am still young and healthy I am not too worried about any fatigue. I once watched all three extended editions in a row with my brother. I am just unsure about the other people. Who knows, maybe the theater is going to smell like a hamster cage after a couple of hours. But it is the last time I am going to see a new Middle-earth film in cinema (at least for a long while), so why not take the risk.

Re: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
I think it will be great fun. I'm sure that it will start to get a bit ripe after a while, but that's part of the experience.
As for when it comes out in the States, not until December 17, although they have now announced some Trilogy screenings on December 15. I likely will see it on Friday December 19, in New York with my Mom again, like I did AUJ (although this time Beth will be with me - Yay!), although it is possible that we won't go until Sunday the 21 (we are going to New York for a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, so that it likely out).

I probably will go on the Christmas day, en route to a Chinese dinner. Although if any local Halofirians want to go together, I can be flexible.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Yup! Always said it would work out that way!
That screen cap is from the second of these two new Spots - they're coming thick and fast... lots of new clips and dialogue...

Ah, Middle-Earth and its pronoun agreement problems.
