ITunes, Google Play, Play Station. Someone said Amazon Prime, but I don't see it there.

Ok. The problem I have with those options is that you are then limited to viewing the film with those companies' players, and if they haven't released versions of their players targeted at one of your devices (like, say, your internet-enabled blu-ray player), you can't watch it there. UV codes are a much better option, IMO--there are dozens of players that will stream your UV library, and odds are good there will be at least one of these available for just about any device you could come up with.
But I haven't found any way to just buy a UV code without buying a physical disc. Maybe someday.
(and I don't see it on Google anyway)

Here's the Google Play link:
https://play.google.com/store/movies/de ... oqAI&hl=en
It is also available on xbox, apparently. But yes, UV codes are better, but only come when you buy the discs.

It's listed there, but I don't see any way to actually buy it, just "add to wishlist". cf the unextended version, which replaces that wishlist button with "buy". But either way, I'll just wait 2 more weeks.Voronwë the Faithful wrote:Here's the Google Play link:

TORN has a very detailed description of the new scenes, complete with dialogue and pictures. Don't go there unless you have already seen it, or want to be completely spoiled:

And here is, in fact, the green screen version of that deleted scene, with a little something extra - quite intriguing...

Strictly speaking, in "fact" he didn't, because the scene was cut (twice); perhaps precisely because the writers decided they didn't like the effect it would have had on the story.it seems that Legolas did in fact go after Tauriel with Thranduil's knowledge
And it won't let me watch the video.

Glad that they cut that one out.

Re: TH: Desolation of Smaug Extended Edition Anticipation Th
I finally got to watch it (why in the world does Google think it contains inappropriate content?). Agreed that it comes off as redundant given Bard's lines. Maybe they filmed both with the intention of later picking one over the other. If so, I think they made the right choice. The flow of conversation also strikes me as odd and unnatural after "you have two days"--the standard "characters individually deliver cool lines into a vacuum with no concept of how it all fits together" thing--but maybe that's just because elves think on a higher level than mere mortals.
Edit: Or maybe they had some idea where Bard would recite the "happy" half of the prophecy and then later Thranduil separately would fill the audience in on the other half. Sounds like a cool idea, but possibly tricky to pull off.
Edit2: It also introduces continuity/story problems. It's not hard for the elves to deduce what Thorin is about, but they (excepting Elrond) don't know anything about the secret door or Durin's Day's connection to the quest, so why would they be saying these things?

With all the drooling "Thranduil appreciation" threads "elsewhere," maybe they thought it was porn.Dave_LF wrote:I finally got to watch it (why in the world does Google think it contains inappropriate content?).

I really don't get the Thranduil swooning. He's pretty, but I think men who don't iron and shellack their hair are much more attractive.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Someone on TORC said that he looked like the child of Lucius Malfoy and Leonid Brezhnev, and ever since I am unable to keep a straight face when I see him.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.
