I don't. So long as the Bilbo/Smaug interaction is good (and by all accounts it is), I will take a little OTT Jacksonian battle added in for good measure.

I'm pretty sure that I am really going to like this film.

Oh, I will like the film no doubt.
I am pretty sure I will like (or love, depends):

Smaug
LakeTown
the Master
Bard
Mirkwood-spiders
perhaps Beorn

It worries me that a number of reviewers seem to like the barrel sequence more than the Smaug stuff...

The description is not "of the barrel sequence". It is of one small element of the barrel sequence. And what sounds great about it is that it sound like fun physical comedy, of which I have long been a big fan, from Buster Keaton to Jackie Chan.
I adore Jackie Chan. I just don't want the essence of his films anywhere near Middle Earth.

I don't know; his real-life stunts do seem like the sorts of things an elf should be able to do without breaking a sweat. It's too bad he couldn't have played Legolas!

I meant the physical comedy in his films, more than the pure stunts. Though nothing in his films seems as ridiculous as a dwarf in a barrel knocking over CGI orcs like bowling pins and then punching his arms through the barrel and fighting...Not least because Jackie Chan is physically fit, while Bombur can barely move...

But you may be on to something re: Legolas. I now have a very vivid images of Jackie Chan saying:

"They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!"

OMG, that was one of the funniest things I have ever seen! (Of course, you would have to be a big Jackie Chan fan to get it.)

A couple of negative reviews to balance things out (although I think both of them are very poorly written):

Best review yet, from The Wrap:
Peter Jackson creates a rousing, immersive sequel that offers the same sort of sweeping action — and more crucially, emotional engagement — that helped the “Rings” films become a cultural phenomenon, regardless whether or not you were familiar with the source material.

I have. It is undoubtedly the most positive. But I thought the The Wrap was the most encouraging to me. All that last one from Hitfix is very encouraging as well.
