Not quite. You see, it would be fair to moan and complain about other people moaning and complaining if those people that are moaning and complaining are moaning and complaining about other people praising the films.

But they're not. At least, I'm not. I moan and complain about Peter Jackson and his films, but I never moan and complain about Voronwë's and Alatar's appreciation for those films.

After all, why exactly should I be upset that someone else has a different opinion of the films than I do?

Criticize Tolkien, on the other hand, and you're dead meat. :)

Maybe it is just more leavened by expressions of excitement and anticipation about other things.
