Not always the same as favorites! For me, more personal in some ways...
In random order:
1) Anything from "Abbey Road" (exact one varies, although currently "Octopus' Garden" is getting a workout as a lullabye).
2) Paul Simon, "The Cool, Cool River." I like singing a lot of stuff from his Graceland/Rhythm of the Saints period, but this one in particular for some reason.
3) CSN, "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes." I can never decide which harmony to do consistently though.
4) Righteous Brothers, "You've Lost that Loving Feeling." Although I occasionally sing other lyrics...
5) The Ode to Joy from Beethoven's Ninth. I switch parts around.
6) Rollins Band, "Liar." Very cathartic.
7) Annie Lennox/Howard Shore, "Into the West." Another lullabye fave.
Devo, "The One You Want." Discovered it late via the "Tank Girl" soundtrack.
9) The Moody Blues, "Legends of a Mind." "Timothy Leary, Timothy Leary, Timothy Leary, Timothy Leary..."
10) Johnny Cash, "Ring of Fire." Or maybe "Folsom Prison Blues."
Your top ten songs to sing/sing along with
I'll sing along to pretty much anything. Mainly oldies on the radio. I went through 5 musical cds on my drive to & from Toronto a couple of weekends ago because I was afraid I'd fall asleep. Belting along to the songs helped keep me awake & might have saved my life too.
My favourite song to sing right now is "Someone To Watch Over Me" by George & Ira Gershwin. My dogs really seem to like it.
Duke also loves the "Love" ballad medley from Moulin Rouge. I call it "his" song because he always starts wagging his tail when I start singing it.
I'm odd. I'm willing to work with that.
