Just for Di

Harry Potter fans can expect a double helping of blood and guts in the new movie - if the state of actor Tom Felton is anything to go by.

The actor, 21, who plays evil Draco Malfoy, posted a picture of himself bare-chested and covered in blood on Twitter at the end of a day's filming on set.

And the gruesome image suggests the darkest instalment yet when the Deathly Hallows - the adaptation of J.K. Rowling's final book of the seven-part series - is released.

Yuck! Actually, could you make that picture smaller? It kind of freaked me out when I popped my head into this thread (I didn't see right away that it was Draco, and thought, "Di likes DAMAGED MEN?!?!?!?"

ZOMG, that's... well, certainly not something to drool over.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

There is magic in long-distance friendships. They let you relate to other human beings in a way that goes beyond being physically together and is often more profound.

 Looks like strawberry jam to me. My daughter would love to see this picture.
From the ashes, a fire shall be woken. A light from the shadow shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken. The crownless again shall be king.

Thanks for converting all that strawberry-jammed woundedness into a link, Alatar! I'm sorry I was so Faint of Eye this morning -- didn't mean to cause you trouble.

Are they still making two films of the last book?

I'm confused. Is that image from one of the films based on the last book, then? I guess it must be, as the sixth film is coming out this summer and must be finished by now.

I can't remember what the context would be. I guess I should reread the book at some point.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Awww, Al! How sweet of you to think of me. :D I missed this cuz I was out all Saturday and offline!

Traumatised Draco, come to mama!

Actually, the Mail got it wrong. This is not from HBP, it's from some other film Tom is in. (I don't follow the young man's career, although I love him as Draco.)

Yes, for the love of Eru! :rage:

The Potter fans are gushing and squeeing because it Will Be Just Like The Book.

Epic fail alert! :D

Well, I do like Snape. He's a pretty damaged dude. :help:

I could never admit this in Harry Potter fandom, Teremia, but a lot of that is inspired by Rickman. ;) (Snape fans aren't really allowed to admit this. :D )

Canon Snape is still quite a git, when's all said and done. Let's be honest about it. :blackeye: Much as I love the guy.

Still. I do prefer him to those prats of Marauders. :halo:

He's Rowling's best creation. 8)

And what woman of taste and insight would not be inspired by Alan Rickman?

Well, perhaps a few; we must allow for idiosyncrasy. But the principle is sound.

I know at least one :D , but I'm not outing the poor soul here. :blackeye:

:agree:

I actually like his character (not person!) better in the books. Rickman is so charismatic that he takes away some of the darkness, and therefore the richness, of Snape.
