Saw this over the weekend. Very enjoyable, if nothing amazing. I haven't read the books though.

My only issue is with the massive borrowing of style from Froud and others. Otherwise cute and mostly harmless.

Rented it last night for the kids - had to run in and out of the room so missed about half of it, but it looked like it was really fun! Kids enjoyed it.
Mornings wouldn't suck so badly if they came later in the day.
