Surprised !

We live pretty close to the Nothern Branch of the Imperial War Museum, occasionaly on Sunday's I take the children there, we handn't been for a couple of months so we went last Sunday.

We normally start our tour in the same place, where they have changing exhibits, and this time it was WW1 war artists.

I am not sure what I was expecting - but staring straight in front of me was Paul Nash's Menim Road, I have no great knowledge of art - but even I had heard of this picture, and as it was unexpected I feel my appreciation of the picture was even greater.

Sometimes beingable to contemplate and prepare for an experience is fun, but I must admit - I liked this surprise.
